Any experience with DPF-back exhaust?

Just got a 2014 2500, coming from an 04.5 2500 (long story there). Truck is nice as hell of course...but it's quiet as a mouse. Most of the time I can't tell I'm running a diesel, much less a 6.7L motor. I don't want to do a full delete and completely annihilate my warranty, does anyone have any experience with just a muffler delete from the filter back? I've heard that the stock muffler is a straight through, it's still pretty big though. Thinking a straight pipe off the filter would have to bring out some volume but I also have no experience with all this filtration crap.

Tell you the truth, between the cat and DPF I don't know why they even bother with a muffler. Don't think it will help very much by removing or changing the muffler.

I did the deletes on my Dad's '07.5 6.7L and with the stock muffler it's very throaty.

That's about what I figured. There's a lot going on before the muffler even comes into play. Too bad.

I didn't think you could delete anything on a 2014 without causing all kinds of problems.

removing exhaust behind the DPF will not void any warranty. you are not messing with the emissions systems.

I bit the bullet and tried the 5" filter back MBRP on my 12... 100% glitter. Its just for show. Not a single gain other than it looks good until you're ready to delete. Wife said she couldn't even tell any difference in sound or drone. I ended up buying a 4" delete pipe down the road and it fit right up to the 5" filter back kit with factory hardware and clamps so I at least got to use the big chunk of pipe that wasn't worth it, haha.

The 2013 & up trucks don't have a muffler or resonator...
