Aisin codes cracked yet???
Aisin codes cracked yet???
I was told this past summer by a rep from Raceme that they had not figured out that the caldoc locations in the TCM for the Aisin tranny. He said that Aisin locked their **** down tight, and because of that, the Aisin won't hold up to big power very long with stock programming in the TCM. Does anyone know of any manufacturer for aftermarket power programmers that has figured out that Aisin yet? My buddy has a dyno shop that programs allot of diesels, and he said that the 2015 Cummins has the potential to make big power; however, the Aisin is holding it back.
Personally I ordered my truck with the Aisin so I would start off with a super stout tranny that would live behind that mighty Cummins. I also wanted a tranny that would live well into the 300,000 mile mark. The re-sale with this tranny is also higher, so that's a bonus there as well. However, I'd love to have my truck tuned just to get rid of some of the torque management crap that drives me nuts everyday....like when the tranny gets confused when rolling slowly, you hit the gas, only to have the truck jerk then take off because the tranny doesn't know what gear it wants to be in...really, ***??? The only other concern I have is the shudder in second or third gears under load....that can't be good for the parts inside. Otherwise I absolutely love this tranny when towing. Any info will be appreciated.

What source reveals trade-in is any higher with the AS69RC vs. the 68RFE??? There's no add on nada.com or kbb.com for the Aisin option....there's just a deduct shown if it's a G56 transmission.
I'm not talking about selling it to a dealer...i mean person to person. I guarantee you I could get more for my truck with the Aisin, over a duplicate minus the tranny.

LOL nada and kbb are ball park starting points they aren’t even close to what the market is paying these days
the deduction on a g56 is what they claim when a 2005 slot QCLB with 95k miles and a nv5600 sells for 32k with only 3 days on crags list, or a 2011 SLT with 60k miles sells for $39k and a 2012 Laramie same color but auto takes 3 weeks to sell for $39 in same condition and same miles. KBB and nada are ball park not accurate to the private party market. heck jeeps with ARB air lockers and lift kits according to kbb and nada should be worthless yet my 1983 cj sold for $14k
its like when they used to say with fords there was no premium for a 7.3L vs the 6.0L lol kb and nada got that one right too
