2wd/rwd schooling?
Need to be schooled on 2wd/rwd 2500's!
I can't seem to find the information I am searching for anywhere. I am specifically looking to learn about the front suspension/steering on a 2014 Ram 2500 2wd/RWD. Some information suggests it is a double wishbone arrangement with a coil spring and probably rack and pinion steering, while other information suggests it is some sort of non driven beam front axle with a standard steering box, pitman arm, drag link and tie rod. What's the deal?
I actually bought a complete steering shaft, steering box with pitman arm, power steering pump with reservoir, high and low pressure lines, drag link and tie rod from what the junk yard is saying is a 2014 2wd/rwd truck, but the drag link and tie rod with steering stabilizer shock don't look like any others that I've seen on any 4wd truck. I can't seem to find a 2wd/rwd anywhere from Omaha, NE to northern WI to actually look at!!!
Thanks in advance for any schooling provided. Jeff

From my understanding the newer 2wd's uses a beam axle. Much like the 4wd's but without the live axle. Just not a lot of info out there and don't know if any of the components are compatible with the 4wd's.
