Hello,

I am new here and have a 2015 RAM 3500 4X4 LB w/ Cumins and 18,000 miles. The truck drove perfectly prior to my having the shop install a 2" lift with shock extenders, 1.5" spacers and alignment just 2 days ago. Now I have a wobble at over 55mph, rather severe at 65-70 on gradual turn; but it looks good! The truck goes back into the shop in 2 days.

I need good alignment specs as I read extensively and come to understand toe and caster are critical? I am currently adjusted to total toe of .21, caster is 3.7 L and 3.9 R Running stock tires which have very good tread, 60 front and 70 rear.

Please help if you know a cure? Greatly appreciate alignment specs to adjust to!

a cure is put it back to stock or fight it the est of its life!!!

Tomorrow it goes back. Having them loosen the track bar and retighten under load. Checking mount on spacers for concentricity, but they should be good. Setting toe to no greater than .04 each side and re-balance front tires. L caster at 3.7 and R at 3.9 should be good. If this doesn't do it, the spacers come off!

Side note: I have friend who has the exact set up other than running +35's. He has quite a bit more use on his truck and it works fine, something on mine is off?

What kind of wobble, if you can possibly explain it in words. Not death wobble? Did you do the 2" lift all the way around or just the front? I did a level kit of a 2.5" from Hell Bent Steel. Front only. Easy to install (need spring compressor) and runs perfect. No alignment needed.

I only lifted the front 2", rear was already 12" top of tire to fender, front was 8", now 10". They are basically pucks that go above the spring and are steel. On another site is a post of setting the toe to just over 0 each wheel, this makes consistent sense and he mentioned getting a wobble with +.2 total and over; this is great news as I am at .21.
The wobble is consistent and very noticeable at over 55 and it had none prior. I suspect the toe should do it but going to the further extent to be sure.

So you just did a level kit. There should have been no alignment needed if it we're fine before you did this. Good thing you said they are steel. I've heard of the composite ones sagging over time. I'd bet that it has been set way out of alignment somewhere. You might try a different shop to align it for you.

Mine got installed in the driveway and has never had anything else done to it and it's fine.

YES, I'm thinking the same thing; should have done it myself! Did I say I was being lazy, yep!!! I read that the alignment was necessary on anything other than a Jeep Wrangler? In any case, it's out now so hopefully they will listen to me and adjust it correctly to the total toe of .05 or less (again, from what I read). I will know tomorrow if everything works out. I also want them loosening the track bar and retightening under a load to alleviate any bind. BTW and to your point, probably why the caster was not changed, toe as well?

OK, wobble almost all gone! I had all 4 tires balanced and rotated, set toe to L .01 and R .02, caster remained at L 3.7 and R at 3.9, made a huge improvement. The track bar and spacers were fine, spacers were re-torqued; although I think taking off my front spacers would cure the wobble issue all together! It is totally drivable now, not perfect but OK for now!

Front end drive-ability toe and caster solved 2015 3500 LB
 
Well my 2015/3500 LB and 2017/2500 LB both had the exact same treatment, 2" front lift with shock relocation/extension. Stock drive-ability was not so good in comparison to adjustment settings. The cure was adjusting the toe to .02 to .03 left and right. On the 3500 the toe was set to .02 L and R while the caster was set to 3.7 L and 3.8 right. On the 2500 the tow came out to .03 L and R and the caster was at 4.4 L and 4.5 R; the resultant drive-ability of both seems to be the same. Rest of both trucks was stock, wheels and tires etc.
