I'm getting around an average of 13.15 MPG using Windows Phone App called Mileage LOG.. Great for calculating fuel costs and average fuel mpg. I have a 2012 2500 6.7 HO with 10k miles..

Just curious about the comment on waiting to let the Emisions equipment fail, I heard DPFs are back ordered and wondered more the 6 months what would happen if my DPF failed, would I be forced to park it for 6 months or would the dealer disable the emissions until the part came in so I could continue driving??? <Wishfull thinking I KNow> but seriously would they make you park it???

Yep, the truck won't go if the DPF goes 100% full and regen can't get it. If the dealer has no provisions then it sits. They will in no way break any EPA laws as that could mean their franchise.

Vote republicans back into the Senate and whitehouse and we may have another stab at defunding the idiots so we can come up with common sense solutions instead of what we have now. One big joke.

12 3500 srw 3.73s stock tires.

Before deleting I was averaging 12 town and about 17 freeway. Now that I am deleted with mm I am getting about 16 town and 20 to 21 freeway. This is empty. I am pretty happy with that. This is hand calculated although the dash is only about .2 off usually.

My only experience other than stock has been with an oiled S&B I put on my 3rd gen. It was great for mpgs (for the first couple of weeks after cleaning) but it too let too much dust through. You could see the dust in the intake tube (between the filter and the turbo) . Follow-on designs may have eliminated that issue. If that wasn't enough, I also hated cleaning it and letting it dry. I went back to stock, and used an AC-Delco filter for the most part as it gets the best ratings for filtration and flow according to this study:
http://www.nicoclub.com/archives/kn-vs-oem-filter.html

Other options you might want to consider for a 3rd gen are the dry AFE and S&B units, or assemble your own BHAF: https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...highlight=BHAF

4th gens apparently get along fine with the stock set-up.
After reading this test report, I think I'll be removing my K&N filter ASAP

I got 12.5-13 on the highway and 9-10 in town by hand, before deletes I get about 12-13 in town 16+ on highway, I have not seen 17 yet on the highway, with deletes. A guy I work with claims 17 in town 22+ on the highway he drives like a high school kid with his first car with loud pipes, so I think he's full of, , , , KaKa.

700 mile round trip driving 70-75 mph. Going EVIC indicated 19.8 mpg. Coming back EVIC indicated 22 mpg. Calculated was 19.6 mpg for entire trip. Some pretty good head winds going is the only reason I can think of for the difference on mpg. Truck had 875 miles when the trip began.
