Anyone changed their water pump on a 2013? How the heck do you get the shroud off?

My son did his 2013 and I'm almost certain that he did NOT take off the shroud, it just fits.

If you haven't done it already, there a recall. Maybe they'll reimburse you?

Is the 2013 that much different to a 2003? I have changed mine 3 times already and there is no need to remove the shroud.

It's not that hard a job - unless you are working on a hot engine.

2013's are included in the recall. Dealer should do it free. If you do it, here's how I did mine. (04 and 99) Lightly snap a set of vice grips on the next pulley on both sides of the pump. Just enough to hold the belt on but not damage it. Using a bare ratchet, take the tension off the belt and drop it off the water pump. Remove the two water pump bolts, clean and replace. Put the belt back on and take off the vice grips. Longest part is finding my two small vice grip pliers.
