Cool Steering knock (when turning right or left)

this is a 2012 2500 6.7 purchased in June of last year.

I checked all the Tie Rods and ball joints, no play that would cause this that I can tell (move with my hand). Tighted some Tie rod bolts on the main drag link ( that I could get to). Also the steering stabilizer where it attaches to the drag link.

I suspect the steering stabilizer.

Almost sounds like a metal tapping sound, like the drag link tapping the diff or frame but I cannot see any sign of it.

I have a video but I can't upload it as its avi.

P.S. It only happens sometimes, also can sometimes replicate it when parked and turning right and left. Not always.

Also I do have MX6 shots on and a leveling kit. I double checled the shock bolts look OK (these have a 2 inch extendor at the top of the shock).

I still have the stock swaybar end links, I have some aftermarket ones comming in so I can adjust for the leveling kit (2inch).

Yeah I know of it. Haven't received a notice, I suspected it did not apply to me because its a 2012. I'll check the angle and call the dealer next week to be sure.

Check pitman arm nut torque and steering gear bolts are tight, Tackbar bolts tight.

As mentioned, I would verify the torque on steering gear mounting bolts and track bar bolts.

Will do, what size socket does the pitman arm nut take? I may have to go and buy it.

Could be a steering shaft. Guy on CF had a clicking, only after the truck sat for a while. Dealer couldn't find the problem, and a Ram engineer had to come in.. Steering shaft was the problem.

Dammm that almost makes sense, I heard it once while parked and sounded like it was coming from just under the drivers side part of the hood..hmmm..
