Save me.. Please!

Ex #2 calls and says she has a check engine light and oil pressure is at around 30 psi at idle. I say the check engine light needs to be checked at the dealer (no messages on the display), and 30 psi at idle isn't something she needs to panic over. Especially if it climbs to normal ranges during driving.

What IS the normal idle range for oil pressure on the 2010 HDs?

That is about the same oil pressure as my 2011 so I would say the oil pressure is fine. How many miles are on the truck?

I don't think that guage is accurate any way. I think it just shows what the engineer wants you to see. I could be wrong though. If it ain't knocking I think you are fine other than what cause the CEL.

My gauge says 38-52psi...but my manual gauge I put on it shows about 75psi, so forget the gauge!

My oil pressure gauge will die, and the numeric display in the dash will also go to zero, but I get no codes or anything. I hate engineers.
