Rad leak🤬🤬🤬

Did a bit of searching on here and doesn’t seem like a very common problem. 2012 3500 fully deleted, just installed a fass pump and fuel sump, with raceme programmer, truck was running flawlessly, then started blowing cold air out of the vents, got home, and found a hole in the rad, passenger side about half way up the rad. Fan did not thouch rad, and also have stainless steal winter fronts on... very curious why this might have happened, any help is appreciated, thanks

Blown head gasket over pressuring the cooling system, check for coolant in the oil.

Wouldn’t it pressures up the over flow tank, and fill it?

Truck has been sitting for about 3 hours, pulled the plug on oil pan and didn’t have any coolant in it

Had mine split at the bottom driver's side corner a couple of years ago. No idea why it happened. Had it replaced and no problems since.

Probably just the luck of the draw.
when I had a heater core fail, it was split. Replaced it and that one split too and so did the third one!
They all split in different spots. It wasn’t fun.

thats kind of what I’m thinking too, just a weak spot maybe. Oh well. Will have to order 1 I guess

Pulled the rad this morning, and something has hit it and put an indent in it and that’s the leak.

That's good you found the problem, those gravel roads:( About 20 years ago I kept blowing holes/leaks in the cooling system on my truck, blew the drain plug right out of the rad to start off with, anyway after time coolant began to show up in the oil and a tear down raveled a blown head gasket.
