question on getting truck w/o emissions
Does anyone know if it is possible to purchase a new truck in Mexico, etc without all the federal emissions junk? Is it the same in Canada?

Canada has adopted the U.S. standards so no go here. It's all moot because the manufacturers are not going to build a non emission vehicle for a small market anyway. Even if they did, you would never be able to import it. FWIW, my Canadian compliant 05 Dodge diesel was built in Mexico.

It cheaper to buy your truck in the states than Canada anyways (about $7-9k), but the one canadian dollar= one USD, same dollar value
. Then you would have no warranty. I would just wait till Smarty or H&S cracks the ECM, then remove the emiss junk.
