Anyone install the Muffler Elimintation Kit from Genos Garage for our 2010's ???

MUFFLER ELIMINATION KIT ('07.5-'10, 6.7L DODGE)

I had this on my 2005 and loved it but I realize this 6.7 with the emissions stuff and the resonator is a different beast.

I'm guessing it doesn't change the sound much with all the other emissions stuff BUT wanted to hear from someone who's tried it.

I'm guessing I can answer my own question by just removing the muffler and listening... I'd like to do it while the truck is really new so that the parts will come apart without a torch.

 

I did the muffler delete pipe on a buddies 07.5... It was so worthless, the only thing that got louder was him yelling at it for being a scam...

Turbo back is the ONLY way to open it up.

Anything sold filter back is bunk.

 

O.K. - edumacate this dummy - what's back of the turbo besides the muffler and cat?

 

Cools... This is what I suspected. So between the CAT and the DPF filter, the muffler is really there just for show... Ok -- Will save my dough. Thanks!

ramtradxb -- You have the cat, the DPF filter (emissions on the 6.7) and then the dinky muffler that appears to be doing nothing.

Then the NOX filter.

Then the DPF

Then the dinky muffler.

Anybody checkout the new down pipe from MBRP? It has not cat. Not sure if it will trip a CEL or not.

Most things I've read (by people doing the mod) state that the mod is pretty worthless and basically made no difference (unlike the pre 6.7 Diesels).
