Mobil delvac 50 or royalpurple manual trans fluid???

Ok iam getting ready to do a full fluid service and ive been reading about different fluids for my G56. Ive read a lot of people saying that they have used the Mobil Delvac 50W and the royal purple manual trans fluid. Now both seem to be a decent product. My question is doeas anybody have any experience with these fluids in sub zero temps??? if so what are your thoughts on them..

Look into AMSOIL. They are listing their ATF for it. Kind of weird but I think dodge recommends ATF in that transmission to reduce dealer overhead inventory. I do recall reading about Mercedes actually recommends a 75W-90 MTF for their trucks with the G56. If that is the case I would check out AMSOIL's line of transmission fluids. I ran the 75W-90 MTF in my Jeep up in Montana so it definitely handled the cold really well.

Royal Purple MTF is on the lighter side of the MT fluid range. In fact, it's between ATF and the MTF in the viscosity range. Personally I would go with Pennzoil, Amsoil and Redline if wanting something lighter than Mobil Delvac 50. Or you can mix MTF and 50 together for a blend.

No experience with Delvac or RP but I've had Amsoil ATF in mine for 100k miles. Put 80k mi on the first change and the fluid came out looking like new with very little metal on the magnet. It also shifts well at -20deg.

I ran Amsoil ATF in mine before the dpf elimination. After that the marble on marble sound was too unnerving.

Do you mean the low rpm rattle when taking off from a stop?
I always thought that was my clutch making noise..
I have added an extra qt above full using Lucas trans oil, on the advice of a guy who runs a fleet of G56 Rams from this site. Dunno if it helps or not but so far so good.
So running heavier weight gear oil eliminates that annoying sound?

Yeah, taking off, idling through parking lots and especially neutral, pedal out. The Delvac 50 kills 80$+ of the noise.

I've got the Amsoil FTF SAE50 transmission fluid in mine for over a year. It did help with the gear rollover noise but didn't eliminate it. I went with the 1 quart overfill. I live in NEPA and it was cold here last winter. 2-3 shift was a bit stiff when cold but after a few miles no issues. Still hate 5th gear noise. All other gears are OK.

To be honest though,I miss the silent dmf G-56. I asked LUK to make us a 100 rwhp+ dmf for the G-56. That was seven yrs ago.

Just ordered Delvac 50 from Grainger for my truck, after I read the carbonite dodge link.
I have a new G56, not a reman. will update as to what my trans oil looks like
