Long Crank Time

I have not updated my signiture yet but the 03 is gone and i have a 2010 3500 long box, crew cab, 4x4, light greystone now.

I now have 6000km on it now and 5 occasions it has had long crank time to start. When it does that I will turn it off and try again it will start but not as quick and it does not seem to catch and fire right up. It seems to gradually take off if that makes sense. Rest of the time it starts right up, there seems to be no pattern when it decides to take a long crank time.

Do you have the one touch start on your truck?

I believe there is a flash that fixes this. Did you take it to the dealer and see if you have the latest version of the software?

No I have not been to the dealer yet. I wanted to ask the question on here first maybe I would get the answer for them on how to fix it.

I've read on a lot of forums that this is a common problem with older software version's on 2010's. A flash should fix it if I'm not mistaken.

A faulty crank sensor was my truck long crank time problem. Also caused loss of power when I was towing. $20 and 5 mins, I was all fixed up
