How strong are these trannies?
Posting this for a friend who tows quite heavy sometimes..He was accelerating up a good hill with about 12.5K, and BANG!!! suddenly
no go, he said it idled just fine as he cruised to a stop, and there was nothing there in gear for a half a minute, then it hooked up again and away he went...he was not in OD, was watching the trans temp, and said he wasn't given'er in respect to the load he was hauling...any ideas? The tranny fluid does not smell or look burnt....There is probably only 15-20K on the truck..

Agreed, I have a few friends that have done multiple truck pulls and launched off the line in the quarter with their smarty's all the way up and no issues up to 70k so far
