That is the sweet spot for it and it purrs up and down grades and never skips a beat....It takes a pretty steep grade or a really long grade for it to drop down a gear...
130000 lbs is pretty heavy! that's 65 ton... must be a bigger truck than mine to pull that much

[QUOTE=NC Ram;3346922]Which sensor do you measure EGT's? I have OBD fusion and read the gauges from my phone. There's several choices of PID's. Just wondering which is the right one.

Going by the sensor I chose, EGT's never get above 500 in any gear. I haven't looked at the numbers towing yet.[

I’m not familiar with your device, but you should be reading the sensor at the turbo. Don’t known what that would be. I understand there are 3 sensors for the exhaust system on the 16 and later 6.7. The Edge Insite reads all three. I don’t known what ECM Does to the engine when it reads hi EGT’s.

I ran a Edge Juice/Attitude programmer with a EGT Probe in the turbo exhaust entrance on my last truck (06 Dodge) and when towing in the mountains it was easy to keep the egt’s down just by seeing it as you drive. 7% 6 mile grade at 45 mph showed about 1100-1130 EGT.

My 16 does not have any boxes on it. It will have a Edge Insite before we head west with this 20,000 lb Carriage. Truck is 9840 lbs full of full.
