Question 2015 3500 brake contrller

I just finished converting the 5er to disk brakes. backed the truck up to the 5er and connected, the pump does not seem to be working from the truck. I know it works as I jumped the power in the 5ers plug and it works fine. Does the truck have to be moving to activate the brakes. The dash indicator shows it working and so does the manual override. I am stumped....

As with any inertia type brake controller the truck must sense a slowing of the truck for the trailer brakes to work using the brake pedal, they should work using the manual lever though but only as much as the brake controller is set for. I believe there is a setting on my sons 2013 controller for electric over hydraulic type brakes, without that being set I can't see them working. I junked the factory controller in my 2011 and went with a P3 which has the electric over hyd setting.

What pump are you referring to? Electric brakes work off voltage. Not sure what you mean by pump.

I have converted to Disk brakes which have an electric pump on the trailer to actuate the calipers for the disk brakes....

I did this swap a couple years ago and have a 15 Ram. You need to make sure in the settings for the trailer, through the radio, you set it to electric over hydraulic(EOH).
Truck does not need to be moving for it to activate the pump.
