I plugged mine back in. I noticed some slight surging this morning, also had the timing rattle. The mileage did seem to improve slightly. But since I still have just under three quarters of a tank full I won't really know how much of an improvement. But to me not worth the other issues. My fuel mileage is comparable to my 04.5 5.9L so all in all not so bad. That truck had 80K mileage on it and got what I'm getting now 14-16mgh commuting back and forth to work

OK Fellas, The question is still waiting for an answer. Do we unplug, or not? I have a 2011 and would love to go outside and unplug if its gonna help. Plus, who cares if the DPF gets clogged up, its still under warranty. Even if the ECM shows a code, as long as no mods exist, it will be covered. By the way, I honor Blake's word, not the "Fishy" dealer guy chiming in. I know for a fact that tampering has to be proven via proper documentation. Good luck doing that with the truck in stock trim.

My 2010 has 18k miles on it and the EGR Has been unplugged for a while now. Maybe 10k miles. I have noticed a solid 2mpg increase and the truck still regens. My average mileage is around 17 mixed driving. Varies depending on my mood. I have got 19mpg on a 400 mile trip doing 65 on the freeway.
My EGR won't be getting plugged back in soon.

You can't just internally plug the egr off. There are temperature sensors in there and dodge has done a good job thinking about how to keep us from "cheating".
The easiest way is to just unplug the egr. I did that with great success. Then, when I decided to keep the truck, I did the California deletes (thanks mega-engr) with the smarty jr and have not looked back. 2000 miles after an oil change and its still clean. I like that. Before, I'd pour the oil in and not even start the truck and it was black.
