Do All 2016 3500 w/Aisin Come w/900 FPT
Do all the new 2016 3500 Cummins that have the Aisin transmission come with 900 torque - even with SRW? Or do you need to get DRW?

You have been misinformed.
The power output of the CTD is based on transmission used.....not SRW or DRW.

I hope this is correct. I've had sales people at different dealerships say you need to get the DRW to get the 900 FPs. There isn't anything clear in the Ram brochure... just says "when properly equipped" but they don't define what that is. If anyone has seen clear written documentation I would appreciate the reference.

There's no disclaimer as to any 3500 SRW/Aisin equipped pickup having less hp & torque than its 3500 DRW/Aisin equipped brother.
Not sure if this meets your criteria as to "clear written documentation", but the Cummins Engine Website makes no disclaimer of power output of 3500 SRW vs. 3500 DRW Aisin equipped pickups.

If Properly Equipped - MEANS
I recently ordered a 2016 RAM 3500 SRW Longhorn. It is my understanding, that the only way to get 900 lbs of torque is to have the Aisin combined with a 4.10 rear end. The SRW 3500 is only available with a 3.42 rear end, I tried to get a 4.10 or 3.73, no luck. Therefore, only the 3500 DRW with the 4.10 option is able to achieve 900 lbs of torque. I am not sure if they pair the 385 HP 6.7 HO with the Aisin but I will find out next week.

Correct I hope?
(quote) (I thought all Aisin equipped 3500's are High Outputs ?)
I think that is correct, I hope so, my 2012 has the HO which was 350 HP in 2012.. I was talking about the 900 lbs of torque only achieved with a 4.10 rear end. If that is the case, then only DRW would be able to get 900 lbs of torque stock because the 4.10 gear is not a SRW option.

Now I remember, I was also told that 900 FPT was dependent on the rear end gear ratio and the SRW only comes with 3.42. That is why I thought that it did not apply to the SRW, I am not an engineer so I don't know why the other ratios are not available for the SRW.

I will try again. If you get a 3500, srw, with the Aisin, you get 900 FPT. 3500 in srw only comes in 3:42 gears but it does not matter as you still get the 900 FPT IF you get it with the Aisin transmission. 900 FPT only comes with the Aisin, no matter if you have two or four tires in the rear.
