Discontinued parts

New to site, first post! Does anyone have a link or know where to go for discontinued mopar parts? In particular, part number 4429369 pipe plug, that goes into the engine coolant vent port, the one that goes from flex to rigid and into the EGR cooler if you Still have one. Flushing my radiator and lost this plug into the abyss (the dark hole that parts and peices disapear and reappear years later) anyway, called local dealership and that part is discontinued but for $285 dollars I can get the entire flex to rigid pipe that includes this 185 cent pipe plug. Can anyone help with this delima, thanks in advance

I'm not sure of the size of that plug but I really bet that you can find a bung plug with the right thread at any good hardware store. You might have to buy two or three and return the wrong one's. Somebody will chime in I'm sure....

Welcome to DTR...... I googled Ram 4429369 and a couple of sites said it was discontinued but I also found it on a few more, same part number just used in different applications on the truck. Failing that I'm sure that a good nut and bolt place would have something in stock that would fit. Good luck.

I would take some rough measurements and head over to the local ACE Hardware store. Probably can find a brass pipe plug there.

Thanks MickeyB, I went to Ace last Saturday and had no luck with any of the 5 fittings I purchased. Will try tomorrow at our local fastener shop. I did call dodge again, told me to call cummins with the block number and they might be able to send detailed drawings showing parts and specs on the motor build.

Chances are, being cummins, it's a STOR fitting.

Go to your closest cummins dealer, give them the engine serial number, and /or part number. They will be able to look it up, including any pn updates. I find pickup dealers are rarely able to do that.
