Diesel Starter Not Turning

Diesel Starter Not Turning
I have a 2014 RAM 3500 with the 6.7L engine. Recently, I began having an issue starting the truck. When I turn the key, the starter will not turn. The voltage is 12+ on both batteries and everything else in the truck works fine of course. I can only start the truck when I jump it. I removed both batteries individually and charged them for 24 hrs. After doing this, I had the same result - truck wouldn't start.
Is it possible that a truck this new would have bad batteries already? Is there another step I can take in troubleshooting this?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Yes the batteries could be bad...take it to a auto part store like Advance or Oriellys they will test them for free. If they are bad you must replace both at the same time a bad battery will quickly kill a new one.

It's my pot and I'll stir it if I want to. If you're not careful, I'll stir your's as well!
Place a voltmeter on the batteries and have someone turn the key. If the voltage drops dramatically, then it is probably one or more bad batteries. If no voltage drop when the key is turned, then the problem is somewhere else.
