Coolant filter

so I just recently put on a coolant filter on my 2012, I used the port ontop of the coolant went on exhaust side and the other port was beside number 2 cylinder, I'm wondering which way the coolant flows, as to which way a guy should put the intake and return through the filter, I cant find anything on which way sinisters is set up, and can only find 3rd gen setups. any help would be nice, Thanks

why not? it cleans out any casting sand from being manufactured, and debris in the cooling system, longevity of cooling system components, whats it going to hurt? more of a piece of mind for me I guess.. Anyways. does anyone know which way the coolant flows

My understanding is the water pump draws off the bottom of the radiator, so you can follow the flow from that. Where did you find a coolant filter? I've never heard or seen one before. And being a 2012, I doubt there's any sand in your engine. You should have changed your coolant at least once by now. And like what was said, there's really no need for a coolant filter.
