My 2012 deleted 2500 started doing the stuck in 4th gear thing when putting it in drive. Pulled the codes and came up with po883. Took it to the dealer to trouble shoot and they came up with a faulty PCM. Got a used PCM from salvage yard with the same part numbers . Questioned them at the salvage yard about having it reflashed. He said it will be plug in and go. Ok, put it in last night. Loaded my "stock" program from my Race me. No extra power, just shuts down the emission stuff. The load up went well, nothing out of ordinary. There is however the radio asking for 4 digit Anti theft code from disconnecting the batteries when swapping out the PCM. Truck starts fine but will only run for a few seconds then shuts itself down. Would this anti theft be locking things out or should the PCM be flashed? Bought the truck new. Deleted the emission stuff at about 1000 miles. There are only 11000 miles on the truck now.

Only a guess, but I'd bet it's the anti theft causing this.

Think I have it figured out. After some digging around it seems the Sentry key( ignition key) isn't programmed with the VIN that is in the used PCM and shuts the truck down after 3 seconds.( as it should) The Raceme takes pieces of information from the stock programming and combines it with its program to make the electronics work. I am going to pull the used PCM off the truck, get it flashed at the dealer with my VIN. Then load the Raceme tune and hopefully the key reads things as it should
