Can I put manual locking hubs on a 2017 3500?

I'm a big fan of manual locking hubs yet Ram does't offer them. Can manual locking hubs be installed on a 2017 3500?

yes. I would love to add them to my 12. They are pricey but you will gain one or two mpg i heard plus cut way down on component wear.

I didn't see but 1/2 mpg increase but serviceable bearings,4lo and stopping all that needless rotating mass is why I got them. A group buy and Dynatrac special pricing helped too.

That's pretty pricey. Was thinking it would be a simpler conversion. Not worth doing unless replacing unit bearings. Is that the only way to add locking hubs?

The problem with manual locking hubs is.... Getting out of the cab in knee deep water to lock them in AFTER you have slid off the road, by which time the damage is done.

I would like to find an economical conversion kit that allows you to switch to the servicable bearings but no lockouts. I realize these kits can do it if you used drive flanges instead of lockouts but would still be pricey.

um....not to be the party pooper here but I though the 2017s don't need manual locking hubs. The front driveline & diff are disconnected in 2wd and doesn't freewheel like the 2012s(?) on down. I guess your wheel bearings still turn, but the mpg difference wouldn't even be measurable. Right?
