ABS and Service 4WD light

A few days ago the ABS light and Service 4WD light came on shortly after I started off on my drive to work. They came on again on the same day on my way home from work. Now they haven't come back on again. I noticed when they were on that my cruise control wouldn't work also. This happened briefly back in June after I put different wheels and tires on. They are the same size wheels/tires I had on before. It's happened a few more times since then but went away shortly afterwards. Now its happening more frequently. Also noticed last week on the highway with cruise engaged it just kicked off suddenly, no lights, no "ding" no nothing. Just reengaged the cruise control and no more problems. Any ideas out there about this?

Sounds like a bad or dirty electrical connection under it somewhere. Maybe something being pinched.

You need to pull the code first, if you have a code C2201-FDCM/DTCM INTERNAL, then most likely the Drive train control module is bad..

Thank you I will check it out. My H&S says there are no DTC’s. Do I need to put an actual scan tool to it and pull codes?

H&S may not be able to pull codes from every module, may want to have dealer check for you.

Mine was doing the same thing, on my way to a 1500 mile trip, the 4wd tried to engage without me turn the ****, long story short, I found out that is was moisture in the control solenoid on the front axle, I looked at it really close, didn't find anything, put die electric grease on terminals of plug, it has been 7 months, and no issue, talk to dealer, they agreed with the answer, and they seen this before, they did the same fix, and problem solved.
