Bob,
I would drive it as well. It could be they have gone to a sensor with the addition of the DEF system. In my owners manual it only mentions changing the CCV at sixty seven thousand five hundred miles, nothing about cleaning the EGR and cooler at that time. On my previous 2008 it never did give a CEL, just the notification with a chime every time I started it till I reset it. I'm not sure of any changes being made between the 3rd gen 2500 and the 4th gen 3500. I do know that the TPMS is different. On my 4th gen 3500 it just monitors the pressure and doesn't give you a low pressure light indication, what the low pressure threshold is set for on the 3500 I don't know.

Thanks for the responses. No DEF on mine, so I can't figure out why it hasn't set the message. Guess I won't worry about it...

Thanks,

Bob

I have a 2012 Ram 2500 6.7 and have passed the 67500 mark with no message whatsoever about the "service requirement". I am at 67950 now and still no message. I did delete a while back, around the 50,000 mile mark with the Race ME tuner. I was wondering if maybe the tuner cancelled it out or what. Anybody know?

I noticed that the engines in question are 2008 - 2010 models. Is this service required on the newer engines as well?

Is it still necessary to remove the EGR and clean it at 67,500 miles on the new trucks? Someone told me that there's just a filter to change now and its not required on the 4th gen. trucks.

I have a '15 and just checked the Maintenance Schedule. The only requirement I can find in this regard is to "Replace Crankcase Ventilation Filter (CCV)" at 108,000 miles or 54 Months, whichever comes first.
Back to morning brew . . .

Any of the DEF/SCR trucks call for CCV filter change only no EGR cleaning.

So for us 13+
