Hello all, a few days ago I had my 3:42 stock gears swapped to 4:56 gears. I'm running into an issue where when the tires are turned to the right a half turn it feels similar to when driving slowly on pavement while in 4x4.. an odd wobble/shake/rub feeling.

I asked the installer who is well rated in the area and he says this is normal and will go away.

My fear is they loosened something or over tightened.

My build is 2017 dodge ram 2500 6.7l 4" lift (new Fox shocks, coils, control arms, high end kit). 37" tires. This issue did not exist before having the new gears installed. This issue occurs while in 2wd.

Having a hard time understanding why new gears all around would cause this weird effect on the front end only while not in 4wd.

If this is normal with new gears and people can confirm this, that would be great also!

Update:

Brought it back to the shop because "that's normal and will go away" wasn't going to cut it for me. Shop instantly agreed something was wrong. Looks like the issue is in the back end and is just noticeable when the tires are at quarter turns in either direction.

They used the word "True Track" and "Too tight". If anyone with knowledge can translate that and give an opinion if it sounds accurate I'd appreciate it! Going to fix it tomorrow morning. At this point just want to make sure it's fixed correctly.

Update again after tomorrow with results.
