2011 ram 3500 wont start

2011 ram 3500 wont start

got in my truck earlier and turn the key to start it and it does nothing.
the dash display is showing service 4wd, and trailer brake disconnected, also the small led under the speedo is flashing. My mini max comes on and the display stays on intializing communication. It will not shift out of park either.
Ive tried my spare key and disconnected the batteries with no luck.
Dont know what else to try. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think it's related to the security system. That small LED shouldn't be flashing. I don't know how to fix it though.

This just started happening to me as well. Exactly the same problem. It started out as telling me that the key was still in the ignition when it was in my pocket.

did you ever get it solved?

2010 just had same issue. Only 25k miles. Ran great Sunday now dead. Batteries were 8 months old but guy gave me new ones today. Didn't solve. Any help

It's a 99% chance it's the TIPM. My 2010 has been doing the same thing since 2011. Because all communication passes through the CCN (cluster) and the TIPM, the truck won't start because it can't send a signal to/through the tipm to tell the truck to start. When the Mini Maxx (I have the Black Maxx) is stuck on initializing, no communication is getting through. I've cycled the FOBIK with the door open 10-20 times and it will eventually wake up. There are two relays in the tipm that have something to do with automatic shut down (ASD 1 & ASD 2). I swapped both of those around last year and my truck was back in business immediately. However, it's starting to do it again. I've noticed it's more than likely to do once it gets extremely hot out or starts getting into maybe the 30s-40s. There was a guy on FB on the 6.7L Cummins Performance page that was having the same problems. I recommended to swap the two relays to see if that works. He posted back that his truck started immediately. I've experienced it where my truck went so dumb the radio wanted me to put in the unlock code. That was a one time deal.

Using a scan tool, the codes most likely to show are:
U0001 (high speed CAN communication bus)
U0141 (lost communication with body control module "A")

There are a few other codes I get as well, but keep in mind, if the scan tool can query different modules or scan all modules and break down the codes for each, if multiple modules are reporting the same code (such as U0141) that typically points back to the TIPM.

Some folks say to check grounds, but with these trucks I think a ground issue is less likely for a communication issue. I've checked every ground I could find and all were fine.
