2011 6.7 "Perform Service" at 100K miles?
My daughter's 2011 3500 started showing "Perform Service" around 100K miles. There are no engine codes read by the scanner.
I thought this warning was triggered only by mileage, at 67.5K and 135K, to indicate that it was time to replace the CCV filter and do the EGR cleaning. She had the whole EGR cleaning thing done around 72,000 miles at a dealer.
Can it also be triggered by sensors yet no codes are thrown? Or are there other maintenance items that can be indicated by that message?

It is my understanding that if your daughter's truck has excessive "soot buildup"in the DEF that the trucks ECM/PCM will give that message. Even though she had the EGR cleaning done @ 72,000 miles it is not uncommon for the trucks to call for that service again if the sensors see there is excessive soot buildup.
