I have 20000 miles on mine, must have put 15k pulling my RV. The new truck works awesome. I'm glad I up graded from my 08 truck, the cab is way nicer to haul the family around in on those long RV trips.

No issues and the truck hasn't been back to the dealer since I bought it.

29,500 as of a half hour ago. Not a mechanical issue with the truck, but it did go back to the dealer once to make sure the brake controller was working correctly, and it needs it's 3rd set of batteries in the remote fob.

Deleted at say, 28,500 miles....New on 5/1/10

When you deleted you truck - what did you notice first?

I don't have my truck yet - sniff - but when I do get it, I'll put mileage on at about the same rate you seem to and for same reasons. My thoughts were to delete at around 50,000k - mostly waiting to make sure there were no small issues with the truck - or big issues that show up fast.

You also mentioned you did it to "stop making oil" - what do you mean?

All good stuff - Thanks
Larry

I noticed the truck whistles out the exhaust, and is a "bit" loader now. Not very much.

Other than that, I really didn't notice much difference in how it ran...other than the power from the programmer.

My truck was putting fuel in the oil...about 3 qts every 5-6K miles.

31K miles now, oil still where it was when I did the deletes.

When I was in the Army, I was around 2 1/2 ton trucks a lot and one of the strongest memories of them (apart from sore backsides) was the very distict "whistle" the motor made. I'd love my truck to sound like that.

I know there were a lot of posts about problems with the 07, 08 and 09 regarding soot build-up and emissions.
I have a 08 and just deleted. I had 130k without any problems and got 18 unloaded and 12.5 pulling my two trailers. I only had a sticky EGR valve during the 130k and it only pulled a code and the dealer changed it at the next oil change. A lot of people got tuners and then cried when they sooted up with out the deletes. I gained 1.7 miles a gallon unloaded with the tuner and .5 loaded with either trailer. There was some early problems that Chrylser worked out thru software in the first year. Mine was built 11/07 and as stated above never had a problem because I let them update the software as needed during the oil changes.

Chris what exhaust did you go with? I just ran a homemade 4in exhaust pipe, thru the stock muffler. I noticed that some aftermarket exhaust are actually fairly loud. Which supprised me, as I drove around just on the factory down pipe for abit.

Can't stand the exhaust sound with the CR manifold...maybe the VGT would help that, but I'm a 12v/VP 24v sound lover...

And besides...this truck is COMFY...a bunch of drone and noise would ruin it!

Only other thing I'll do is get rid of the stock downpipe someday...lose that CAT thing!

That my debate, of when I get to deleting, what exhaust to run. I think Im gonna go TB 5".

But yeah Chris Im with you. My 90 with the 4" TBE and 5" stacks on a single cab is just pure music.
