Dodge has gone back to a single drag link and connecting rod between the spindles like the old solid axle trucks. Drove my neighbors 2010 and what a difference even compared to the 3rd gen upgrades and it looks like it is bolt in.

Did some hauling thinks lately and the Featherlite Bed is just awesome put 5000 pounds on it a few times and the Bed is handling it just fine.
With the Bed being 350 pounds and the hitch another 150 pounds I'm actually left with 5000 pounds payload.
Only bad thing is running empty the suspension in the back is too stiff having 1000 pound load on it makes a big difference in driving comforted.

Glad you like your set-up..

You should have drove the 08 with the "clunk clunk" shocks they had the wrong valving in them and when it got below freezing it was one rough riding unit (they were replaced under a tsb)..

Looks like according to the link CO you have to have a CDL for over 6500lbs. Also some states are by length of 45 ft which would not be hard to surpass, I'm almost sure my 25GN+ my truck is close to 45 feet.

Dodge 2500 short box I extened

I have a dodge 2001 HO six speed, that came with six foot box, i took er off, cut truck into added fifty inches, put flat bed on added duel wheels.

NOW my question is how far ahead of axels do I install fifth wheel, I put it 1 inch ahead of axel, but one of my friends told me put her four to six inches ahead of axel.

I can weld anything from break of day to broken heart, thatis no problem,

I am also thinking of removing overloads and installing air boots, to stop bounce pu..lling fourty foot Carriage fifth wheeler.

I canno figure out how tomake my own post, maybe someone could also answer how to make your own post.

CW,

Welcome to the site. B&W generally will put the socket aprox 4" in front of the axle mine is somewhere in that neighborhood. Keep in mind how much bed you have behind it and the length of the trailer neck..

Here is the link that tells you how to make you sig line:

I am quite familiar with the requirements of my home state as well as most others. I figured that since you are making statements from a position of knowledge that you would be able to name at least one state.

Please refrain from your spouting of misinformation.

That is not true about the 6500lbs and length never dictates whether or not you need a CDL.

Spudder,

This information has been beat to death on this forum feel free to use the search function.

Or you could try a Google as well:

Cute.

But really I don't need to do a search since I already know the answer.

So if you can please answer my question or refrain from spewing your garbage information.
