Yeti,

Nice looking bed! what did you end up doing for the fiver hookup?

Carl,

Go to the links in the bottom of post 4 and 9, The resistors will prevent the fast/no flash and or the light out indicator from coming on..

The Modulite should be installed as well, spend $50 now or $850 later when the TIPM goes the choice is yours..

A local shop installed a B&W hitch, after consulting B&W they modified a hitch for the conventional frame to fit my 34 inch frame.
After I tok the picture I put the mud flaps back on and installed resistors for the indicator.

No the TIPM goes into "bulb out" mod thinking the light bulb is burned out making the indicator go twice the speed.

That is exactly what mine has been doing for the past 20,000 miles will this be problematic if I leave it or should I just put in the resistors, the shop who did my body had no clue when I asked them why me blinkers were blinking so fast!!!

Carl,

Sorry if that sounded wrong.... Hooking onto trailers with old shorted wiring or too many lights will fry the TIPM.. this is just a precaution.. do a search on TIPM problems..

When your hooking up the resistors I recommend you put in a modulite, I intend too as I have to hook unto older trailers on occasion.

The TIPM thinks there is a bulb out condition if another bulb really does burn out you don't get a warning for that than.
Resistors get used in place of a bulb as they don't tend to burn out or brake, you can wire a conventional bulb back in parallel to the LED's as well.
One thing I noticed was that the TIPM takes some time to realize that the resistant is correct and go back to normal signal speed.
In the Body builder guide from dodge is a note that the dealer has the ability to turn bulb out mode off but on some newer trucks, again no warning if another bulb burns out.

If it's that way for two years odds are what ever could burn out would have done so by now.
The thing is if another bulb did burn out in the last two years you perhaps didn't notice or got informed by the TIPM.
As Colo_River_Ram pointed out problems with the TIPM are more related to shorts in the wiring or too many bulbs connected to one circuit.

What OHM resistor did you use for the blinkers 6ohm or 1000 ohm 1 watt as the body builder guide recommends.

Thanks again

I got my resistors from a after market shop called JB Power here in Edmonton.
The resistors I got happen to have 15 ohm printed on them.

Mine has only 31,000 kms (17,000 miles) and is still on warranty but I can "feel" a delete day coming on as the folks who have deleted have just about 0 issues and better performance. The 2010's have the upgrade steering and I think it is a bolt in for the 07, they steer even better. The C&C engine has less crap on it and I have had less issues than the regular 350 hp version. I have had clutch trouble and know that any performance upgrading will mean a clutch is going to be 1st.
