Test drove a 2014 5500 yesterday...wow

Regular cab, 4:44 rears, Aisin auto.

Lots of snort down low, no doubt helped by the 4:44s. With the tow/haul and exhaust buttons activated, it's like throwing an anchor out. Very impressive.

I think it would be neat if they would offer 4:10s as an option in this truck. The engine could definitely pull it and mileage would be better.

Very impressive nonetheless.

They do offer a 4.10 option on these trucks.

My 5500 has the 4:88's I would go with the 4:44's, then when the factory tires are gone (which wont take long ) adjust as needed with tire size

I'm pretty sure that 4:44's equal 4:10's with 19.5 inch tires.
