MP-8 install on a 4500

Well after the power pup did not want to work on the 4500 I installed a mp8 on the truck yesterday with the help of an employee, wow this thing really made the truck run so much smoother and great smooth power. But one thing I did notice is that the mp8 caused the brake not to work under 30 mph, has anyone else exsperienced this with a mp8 on a 4500 or 5500?

You mean you can't stop under 30 or the exhaust brake isn't working?

exhaust brake does not stay engaged under 30, before I could get the truck to stop all the way down to about 5 mph with it engaged. But with the box anything under 30 the brake will not engage. I just wanted to know if someone else had this issue before I call TS. I am hoping its reprogramming itself with this issue.

yes, smarty 76, thats why I wanted to add the power pup, but it was a no go, that would have raised the speed limiter. I don't know if the box did anything for this, very unlikely, but i am headed to daytona on thursday and will report back.

cbrahs, from what I understand the smarty is a long way off year+, what I was told, don't get me wrong I understand it is complete but Marco is waiting until dodge completes the flash's. Thats whats I hear, maybe rumor, but I lean towards this as it came from a stand up person.

I like both of them but the 4500 with the 13,000 lbs rides just like my 2500, and really prefer it over the 5500. I like them so much I am going to retire two more chevy's this year, probably by years end. One will be a dump box and the other another service body or stake bed with a gooseneck, have some time to think about it.

I have 2 07 Dodge 3500's cab and chassis. One is a g56 4.10 still being upfitted, and one is the aisin 4.10 which Im using right now. These trucks have power, and the aisin works incredible. The exhaust brake just tops it off. Truck never feels heavy.
