I would like to have a 4500 c&c crew cab 4x4 with pickup bed like Ford, in the new Longhorn edition with max tow package.
Oh yeah, keep it priced low too...Keep on dreaming...

according to the article on the 3500 they speak of a new trans and a gcwr of 20,000. is this on the gas model? is there something wrong with the aisin? I cant stand the way mine shifts and i'm always wondering if something is wrong with it.

Only on the pickup version, and only with 4.10's and the "Max Tow" package. I don't beleive the 3500 C&C with a Cummins will get a changed GCWR.

Nothing wrong with the Aisin... darned good tranny. It is heavier duty than the 68rfe. But it is also a clutch to clutch design like the Allison... that's not a bad thing, but it is not performance minded like some of us require. It is a heavier and more expensive tranny, but well built, designed to tow a lot of weight and last a long time. If you are towing a heavy 5er or GN, that is the tranny to have IMO.

i keep trying to keep that in mind but sometimes it is all engine noise and rpm and not so much go other times it takes off like a rocket. i have never seen a rise in trans temp so prob not slipping. not sure if it is trans or the computer that causes the laggy feel. i want bullit proof over fast but it will take some getting used to i think.
