bought new 3500 c&c have questions

first I need mud flaps of some sort. I have been looking and cannot find the ones that are made of poly and are 1/2 round and hug the tire. Can anyone tell me what they are called and or where to get them.

I have to say the aisin is amazing. It is so well tied into the exhaust brake. So far i am so happy, can't wait to tow with it.

Does anyone know with experience what happens if the def fluid freezes. will the truck sence this and run or will it not run. thanks

I was at the dealer today looking at one. They claim it doesn't freeze. I asked what happens when I remove the system, they said the truck dies and won't start. It will do the same thing if you run out they said.

I got one of those too
With the DEF if it would cause any problems in cold weather I would have noticed it by now. I think DEF when it freezes only really turns to slush and I think the tank is heated too.
I find the new Cab turned out nice very quiet for a diesel truck only the ventilation fan makes too much noise if set past level 2.
Not having much of a comparison but I think the 6 speed auto works real nice smoother than the one in the Jeep GC diesel.
With everything prewired in the back mounting a hitch or a truck bed is a breeze.
But I think you have looked at some of my posted before you bought yours.
As for covering the wheels search Google for truck fender but only have seen them in chromed steel.

thanks for replies i did find poly fenders, minimizer and lifetime make them. seem pretty nice. The more i drive this truck the more i love it. I cant say enough about the trans/ex brake it down shifts and applies so many times that you never need brakes. How well does the brake controler work? is it progressive or is it just on or off?

I like the testing video of the minimizer fenders:

I also purchased a 5500 crew cab diesel 12/22 currently I am waiting for the aluminum flatbed dump to be built (6-8 weeks) DEF freezes at 12 degrees farenheit. 68% water 32% ammonia. Don't get it on paint!! Traded two fords for a dodge, hope I don't regret it. Dodge wanted my trades to a tune of $7500 more than ford. Cummins I know and trust the rest will have to prove itself!

what front fender flares have people used. I can't believe how much slush makes it all over the truck. do the 4500/5500 ones fit well or do they stick too far past the tire. also when I get a plow mounted will they have to cut the plastic under the bumper out. sure seems like they will. hard to believe they designed it like that.
