4500 QC C/C without Dual Rear Wheels
4500 QC C/C without Dual Rear Wheels
Has anybody bought/seen/tried this truck without the duals? I see that it is available on the website but no one seems to know this truck exists. Thanks for any insight.
I'm sure it all boils down to rims and spacers so a retrofit should not be that difficult.. I just got a call form the sterling dealer and they are offering an additional 2500 in rebates..

The only reason to have one of these trucks is for hauling cause it sure aint a pleasure beating yourself down the road in one. Don't get me wrong I just got a 09 5500 SLT and I couldn't be happier. It is a real work truck and I feel more than confident hauling 10 or 12 tons behind the brute. But to take off the DRW just seems to defeat the whole purpose of the truck.
Yeah your probably right but........ If you need to keep the width to a minimum and your only concerned with pullin a trailer a single wheel could be nice. For example I want to get the thing in my garage. Yes it will fit with the dual wheels but it is close. I also want to tow not carry the weight. I will only have about 7k on the rear wheels. I would rather go with the 4500 rather than a 3500 more for the brakes and just a little heavier truck. You are probably better off with the dual wheels though.
