2012 5500
O.K. so there are no 2013 5500s out there to compare fuel mpg. How About 2012 5500 with 4:88 and asian auto ?

I have a 4500, and 4:44 rear with aisin. Its hard to get 13mpg empty. And that's even with deletes.

what kind of bed do you have on it and what size tires? I am going to be running 4.88's with 36" tires with the auto on my 13 5500. 2000 rpms at 70 mph plus a single rear wheel pick up bed.

225/70 19.5, I have an 11.5' bramco hydraulic bale bed, the bed is awesome.

I only have 500 miles on the truck and still working on it. I have put the bigger tires on it and have not calibrated the speedo, and I got about 10.5 on first tank. That is uncalibrated speedo. By next week, I should be done with it and then I will be able to check some numbers. I was hoping for better.

Any of you guys still running these trucks? I have a 2012 5500 and trying to determine if the converter is locking like it should. It has an ATS converter and a few valve body upgrades and shifts pretty good. No idea if previous owner had the whole tranny done from ATS or not. It says I have a permanent code p2757 that will clear but comes right back. Sometimes the light will stay away for a whole trip but says it’s pending on the scanner. Also what TCM part numbers are in your 2012? I think my truck might have a 2011 TCM on it.

It looks like there aren't any 2013 Dodge Ram 5500 models around to compare fuel efficiency. But I managed to get a 2012 Dodge Ram 5500 with a 4.88 gear ratio and an automatic transmission through an online auction using the Auction Streaming Vehicle Inspection Report, which had info on its fuel mileage. It's definitely worth checking out!
