I have both in my truck. Opie and Anthony is the only reason that I have kept XM. I like the music alot better on Sirius and like Bubba the love sponge on the ride home.

O&A and XM

If it wasnt for Opie and Anthony I would be using the free sub that came with my truck.
XM has great portable radios (XM2GO and Inno) along with I have been with them for over 3 years now.

As far as I'm concerned music is the same. Pick any genre and you'll hear the same songs on both. There are only so many hits that get played. I like XM better because of O&A like the others said, and when I got mine the subscription was cheaper, not sure about that anymore. The only reason I would get Sirrius is if you live way up north, I mean Alaska or the Yukon, Sirrius has way better reception and cuts out much less. I have Sirrius in my company truck and bring my XM from home for O&A. Pick the head unit with the features you like the most, or just get the pretty one.

you can see the underdash pics on my gallery, the wires all hide I connected the power line to a cig lighter plug installed on the Ebrake pedal mounting bracket using the brake controller hot wire (12v) with a 3m connector.

Is there any price difference between the two? I have a XM subsciption from when I had a chevy, now it's on a handheld. Their customer service is terrible. Anyways, Im getting sirius in my truck next week but was just wondering what their rate is per month compared to XM?

If you have Directv or Dish just pop a cd in and record about 10hrs. worth of mp3 each week and enjoy. I actually prefer XM they tend to stick with the genre of music you tune in to better.
I have both and will keep both till one of the recievers dies.

sirius too many commercials

Sirius is starting to have more and more commercials on talk radio.
I like Stern but now have 10-15 minute commercial blocks which is no better than terrestrial radio. Why pay for that shi#?

I complained about Blue Collar Comedy channel having too many commercials. I may be imagining things, but they seem to have lessened. If they do jack up the price I'll be cancelling my service.

I agree, wait a month or so, they're going to merge and I hear they are going to offer ala carte where you can choose the channels you want to listen to.
