Working on front end - Spacers 2WD
Working on front end - Spacers 2WD
I found a busted boot on an upper ball joint so I'm buying greasable parts to replace everything and upon further investigation the LCA front bushings are shot so I'm replacing those too. Wish me luck LOL. Has anyone done this?
The front sits low but I have not had it checked by a shop. I did have to put new jounce bumpers on it because they were busted, so that tells me either the springs are weak or the PO abused the truck.
I'm considering the Daystar 1.5 lift, but need to know if these are installed in addition to the OEM spring isolator or do they nest inside the isolator. I read the instructions from Daystar, but they weren't clear. I realize the isolators could be busted, thus causing the low rake. I'm thinking about ordering a pair of replacement isolators, but not sure if I need them with the additional spacers. Any words of wisdom?

I had a bad right front spring on my 2wd. I went to SDspring and ordered some heavier rated springs. Raised it about 2" and looks and rides good. It's a bit stiff, but it's a 3500! Clears 315-70r17 on 2012 factory wheels.
