Windsheild Wiper Assembly

2 Attachment(s)
Dodge Wanted $140 for a windsheild wiper assembly. My passengers side wiper fell off the ball and socket joint during our last snow storm. Yes I left them on before shutting off them truck and forgot they were still on but still it is a bad design. Well I was not going to pay 140 to fix it so I took everything a part and fixed it for .23 cents. I am sure someone else has done this but just thought I would post this in case someone else ran into the same problem. Very easy to do. See pictures attached. Been awhile since I have been on here hope all is well. Happy New Year to everyone.

Mine died on the road and I was close to a dealer and paid 125.

I wish I had to time to of thought of it.

Funny, I was just quoted $500 to have this fixed on my 04. Glad I said no!!

I have not had any issues (yet) but is this something that can be done as a preventative maintenance? The pics look like it is just a cotter pin going through, but do you need to drill it out first?

Hah! That is excellent. Thanks for the tip [coffee]

In the past I too have fixed a Dodge with a cotter pin. The notorious "pink thingy" in the console shifter assembly of a Dodge Charger.

The secret is out - cotter pin.[laugh]
