Lightbulb Wind noise @ doors. (easy fix)

Wind noise coming from around the doors specially in a cross wind situations. Sound familiar?
There have been a few threads about this already and they don't seem to end up with any resolution to the issue.
I've read all kinds of fixes to this problem but one stood out and I thought I would give it a shot, what the hell its free and easy.
First I took the Dodge to the dealer. They replaced the door seals on both doors and said they couldn't promise the issue would be fixed with that and that they would not adjust the doors since they "appeared" to be fine. And get this... "its an inherent problem do to the design of the cab".
OK, so they were right. There was no real change.

So here is what I did and hopefully it will help some of you too.

Adjust the door strikers. Two torx bolts each. Loosen them slightly and tap them in just a little. I moved both of mine in 1/8" and there was no noticeable difference in the door alignment. Then re-tighten them.
That was it, problem solved. NO wind noise at all. Since I've done this I have driven with very heavy cross winds (40mph plus) coming from both sides (no, not at the same time) and the noise is gone.

That would be my only concern as well.

I just adjusted mine and the only thing is watch for are the body lines. The front door and back door won't be flush if you move the striker too much. No the doors aren't any harder to close.

Window vent visors will not be affected in any way. The door striker is the piece that holds the door closed. Its the 'U' shaped piece on the B pillar. Here is a pic; http://sugarautomotive.com/doorstriker1.jpg

Did it to my ol's truck. Little taps first... Tap it too hard, you might not get the door back open...
