Will the suspension lifts for the '94-'02 Rams fit the '03s?

I havent seen the front suspension on the new trucks up close yet so I'm not sure. A little help would be appreciated. Thanks for your time.

Well.... yes and no. ;D

The front suspension on the gen 3 HD 2500/3500 4x4 will fit the same parts as the gen 2s.

The rear suspension now has longer spring assemblies. So unless you're just using lift blocks in the rear (which is not advised due to the torque wrap blocks would cause) the suspension is different.

Best to y'all
Bill :)

I looked today at the front suspension of an '03 3500 4x4 CTD and the changes they've made are following:

1. The upper & lower axle links were changed from 3-sided, stamped steel units to square units (4-sided/hollow core). Similar to the extended links that are included in most lift kits over 3". This what they should have done back in 1994, which would probably have reduced some, if not all, of the wander-issues. The links look about the same length as the ones on my 2001 2500 4x4 CTD.

2. The coils look the same.

3. The track bar is different. Gone is the ball joint on the frame end. It has been replaced by a eye-hole with a bushing. Similar to the Ford Super Duty trucks.

4. The ball joint on the left-side (steering box) of the drag link now mounts to the top of the pitman arm, whereas the previous models had the ball joint mounted under the pitman arm---I think.

These were the differences I noticed, however there may be more that are not so obvious. So, the older kits probably will work, however you will have to figure out how to correct the track bar because the frame mount and configuration is totally different. You may be able to replace the hole unit with a DT track bar, which mounts the frame like the '03s.

I would have to say no to a gen 2 lift. The gen 3's are a total redesign meaning different axles, suspension, frame, and the geometry to put it all together. It may look the same but it is definetly not. If you want a lift wait and get one specific for an 03.

isnt the top of coils where the spacer go the same.i believe they r. then they would work. the radius arms r diff but measure length and width where they mnt in perchs . rr addaleaf would still work even tho springs are longer but amount raised in rr may be diff. trackbar relocation bracket i believe wont work as it seems that is diff
