WHAT? Tach went all the way around
Anyone had this happen? My tach started showing only 100 rpm at idle, then it would jump to about 800, then back down. Yesterday it went all the way around and is stuck on the other side of the pin. Does not move at all. What the heck?[verymad] I'm still under warranty and also have the BIG warranty. Just hate taking it in. I'm sure some Bozo is going to say that my Edge made it go bad. That would be like saying my power window quit because my tire went flat. I'm in the service business too and I hear all kinds of crap that other service depatments tell people that are flat out LIES!

i'm not sure if it will help or not but if you hold down the trip meter reset button on the cluster when you turn the key to run but don't start it, the guages will all sweep through their range, and all the dash lights will come on like a lamp check. It might get that tach needle back where it belongs? So just hold the trip meter button, turn key to run, release trip meter button, watch all the flashing lights for a few minutes.

Must be a gauge issue with our trucks. Your tach, another guy has issues with his fuel gauge. For me, it's my speedo. While cruising down the 4-lane, instead of gradually moving while my speed is increasing, the needle will "skip" in spurts. Like 2 MPH here, 3 MPH here. Very annoying. I haven't tried the trip button trick as I always use the trip on the OHC. Might try that.
