Is this too many miles?
http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...=&only_price=1
Take a look folks? Autotrader.com has it listed for 15,990 their personal site has it listed for 12,500. What could be the worst that happens to a truck with 345,000 miles on it? I asked about the wearable options such as joints and clutch, fluid changes in diffs and gear box but what else should I worry about? I need this truck to be my DD and tow my quads, and maybe have some fun with. Just looking for some advice, take a look at it and tell this Cummins noob if its good or not?
Oh yeah and HI to all, been lurking for almost a year, getting ready to abandon Chevy for a Dodge, big step for me as I had a 95 that lost its rear main seal on the 5.2 liter, tranny was shot, axle bent, it was a POS but I want that Cummins clatter so I am willing to go back to get that!

I agree its too much for that many miles-the previous owner probably got a price quote for the Cummins rebuild (recommended at 380k-correct me if I'm wrong) and decided it would be in his best interest to get rid of it. I bought mine last year with 90k miles and change with the Ranchhand on the front for 22,500, or only 7 grand than what they are asking, for 1/4 the miles. It took me a bit of searching and I had to fly to Minnesota from NM to get it, but for the price I felt it was worth it. Be patient and keep looking-a lot of people are complaining about diesel prices and trying to offload their trucks, so there is plenty of deals out there to be had.

Thats about what the price would be with 100k up and that truck is in UP there mileage wise.I'd pass.I've have seen them with that mileage and raised the hood and found yellow used parts writing on the engine and a install that was like in the 30thousand mile range(used motor) and just installed a few months earlier. But unless I knew that for sure I'd pass unless it was CLEAN and 5grand cheaper.

Way too many miles for a 2004! Also they list it with the Cummins Diesel, yet under the specs tab they list it as the 5.7l hemi, plus they list the horsepower rating as 345 hp. The 5.9 HO CTD was listed as 325 HP. If they can't even list the truck with the currect engine specs, who knows what else they are listing incorrectly!

Makes sense guys, there is a few more with lower mileage, as I find them I bookmark them. Found one in MD with 99K, southbend clutch installed already as well. Might have to test drive that one.
