If it make you feel any better I have the 03 that has all the seperate fuses and lost the right turn signal. Well I had to get a new $300 fuse box, what good is having a seperate fuse for the lights if the box burns up before the fuse........

Here's a great fix never before thought of for this or any other issue. They should give it a reflash to make the horn go off and lights flash so its not a safety issue and you can be aware that theres a problem

In my 06 owners manual it says fuse # 15 is trailer park lights ,rated at 20 amps ,and fuse # 19 is trailer tow fuse ,rated at 30 amps, and then the electric brake fuse # 19,rated at 30 amps ,so in reality are you guys saying that these fuses do not exist?

UPDATE
went to dealer got a reflash they are aware of the problem, and i talked to the tech and the flash is suppose to up the allowable amperage so the problem wont happen again, but he wasnt sure how much it upt it to. We talked for awhile and i guess im just gonna put my own inline relay/fuse in so i wont have to go back and get a reflash if this happens again,(which im sure it will unless i change to all leds)

A vendor should make a box that mounts to the trailer, you plug your trailer plug into the box, the box has all the fuses it needs, then another harness goes from the box to the truck.

Went to the dealer again and found a different advisor and he said I had to pay. Talked to the grease monkey for a while and he said just pull it in. He reset the ecm (3 minutes) and I now have working trailer lights again. Yes for techs and a big no for advisors. Got some inline fuses to install today and solve this problem for good.

Trailer Problems
Hey guys, have an '06 3500, tow 12K worth of 5er. Read on the towing forum here about this problem. Before I hooked up the trailer I built an inline fuse box for the trailer harness. Bolted it to the trailer for now, plug the box into the trailer, the truck into the box. Box has a six place fuse panel, male plug, and female plug. Connected the grounds together without a fuse, rest thru the fuse panel. Bought the parts at the local hardware store, about fifty bucks with 3' of wire. Dodge screwed the pooch on this one! Put twenty amp fuse on brakes, ten and five on the rest and no problems for about 3K miles of towing. Don't have picks handy, but will post. Search the towing forum for more info. Hope this helps.

Trailer Wiring Box
Right now I am at a training seminar for work, will be home on the 9th and will post the pics then. There are some pics of someone else's design on here somewhere, if I remember right.
