Vortex Bed-liner.......

Does anyone have experience with the Vortex brand spray-in bedliner?

I found a local business that uses Vortex.....

i have it in my truck and am very un happy with it. it might just be an installation issue but it seems to be very thin and it is also very slick. my friends with line x can put coolers and such in their truck beds and they stay put. stuff in mine slides like it was a bare painted bed.

Once I got my first taste of Line-X I swore I would never have anything else. I have Rhino in my hotshot truck and have also tried some of the "offbrands" if you want to call them that and none of them can hold a candle to the Line-X. I am sure alot of it has to do with the installer. I had Line-X of San Antonio do my '08 and it is FLAWLESS. Stuff is WAYYYY tougher than my Rhino in the '01 too. Just my $.02, I have no experience with Vortex.

I am leaning towards Line-X also, but the nearest place is a 2.5 hour round trip!

I was just hoping that the Vortex would be good since it is like 15 minutes away.

I thought the same thing when i got the "offbrand" on my old ZR2. The shop was in Corpus, 45 minutes away, and I didn't want to have to drive 140 miles to San Antonio.

For the '08...well...I drove the 140 miles begrudgingly to San Antonio and had a S.E.G. the whole way back! It was DEFINATELY worth the drive.

I have Line-x. I had it installed by the dealer when I bought my truck new. I have also put coolers in the back and still had them roll around. I believe anything will slide around if you drive by the skinny pedal held down and rough cornering.

I would take a look around at your home/town and see how the trucks that have sprayed in liners look. Then, I would ask the dealer to view a sample of his work to compare features that you like with the ones that you saw. Ask a lot of questions and get any warranty claims written down. Personally, I would not get anything but Line-x. However, I have seen some Line-x sprayed on trailer frames that look very cheap and poorly done, so it depends a lot on the installer. As for driving 2.5 hours round trip, that nothing. I have to drive little over 120 miles one way for the closest Line-x rep. Thats a four round trip, but it is well worth it.

Another note, Line-x has been military test to handle direct blast from a bomb or missile strike on a cinder block wall. I think they even spray it on the Abrams Tank.
