Has DC ended online and/or automatic telephone VON/VIN order tracking?

I have the VIN number now but DC customer service cannot confirm ship date nor RR carrier. They said the build date and ship date were the same?

I'm 250 miles from the dealer and trying to arrange travel plans to coincide with delivery. If anyone comes accross a better DC customer service number for status please post and thanks.

 

Used to be you could get onto the DC network if you had your dealer's ID number, and see where your truck was. I think the word got back to DC about it though, and you can't do it anymore.

In this day and age of computerized inventory and shipping control they should be able to give you a pretty good idea of build, release and delivery date. I'm sure they are tracking it.

Customer service estimates of Gateline D1, build and ship being the same date isn't helpful.

This morning they said was in paint status and then on to trim so It'll be awhile.
Consequently, I don't plan on delivery for 2 to 3 weeks.

 

It's finally in and I'll pick it up Friday. Curious about the new TRX Off Road Package I ordered. But, red Shocks on a 3500? Mercy.

By the way, forget Customer Assistance to track your truck. They told me only the dealer has the PC logistic software so contact them.

Sometimes, I wonder what customer assistance is for.
