Turn signals have a mind of there own.

Just started the other day, when the truck is going straight the signals work fine, when I turn the steering wheel to the left they go intermitten and some time the right dash signal flashes, turning right they will sometime double click and sometimes they just quit, anybody have any idea where to start the search, any help appreciated, cheer`s

Multi-function switch would be my guess. (Your Blinker stalk).

There is some grease in there that gets contaminated with metal. Clean it all out and re grease with a non conductive grease and it'll be fine. Very common Dodge issue.

Mine did the same thing and I am a tall guy who likes his steering wheel all the way up so my legs have plenty of room. I read somewhere that it stresses the wires if you have the wheel all the way up. I moved the steering wheel down a bit a few years back and all was back to working fine. Hope it's that easy for you.

I think there was a recall in ref to the directional's. I think there was an additional warranty to 150 k.

There is/was a TSB to extend the coverage of it. I don't recall the length of coverage though.

WAIT... use the replacement switch from the recall, part# CNH3X200AA … it retails for only $34.95, NOT the $100 or so that dealers want for the oem MFS, part#56049823AB.

They are the EXACT same part, just different part#'s due to the recall/warranty.

Well if you guys were here I would be buying the beer, the young guy at the service counter looked up to see if there was a service notice and guess what its covered till Dec. 2015, NO CHARGE, funny though you have to mention this, its not like they divulge any info, consumer beware. cheer`s
P.S. this forum has done nothing but good stuff for me for almost 10 years now.

Gladyou got it fixed.

But to be fair, Dodge did send out noticed for the MFS warranty recall, got mine aug/sept 2012. I have mine in my filing cabinet right now. Rather than exercise my option to take it in, I pulled mine off and did the cleaning on it. That's where my write up came from in the stickies. I keep the MFS letter for when it totally poops out then I'll get a replacement.
