Tough Dodge?!?

Maybe this has been posted. I deleted pictures with license number.

It is humorous but scary that anyone could drive so drunk!

Had Green Lights all the way.........

Now here's a Dodge truck (with one idiot owner!). This happened in Vernon , B.C
The driver hit the left turn light at 48th Ave And 27th St. and sheared off the light post at the base, and then kept driving on about 2 km to Squires Four Pub, where he stopped for more beer!! How impaired do you have to be
to NOT notice that you are carrying a lamp standard?
(Notice that there is an Alberta plate on the truck.

Wonder was the light green?)
The truck was towed about 2.5 km. to theVernon

towing yard, with the light still pinched between the two tow hooks and bent bumper.?(It took several good hard pulls with a backhoe to get the pole free).

Hey Dude, Neat hood ornament.

Wow that is crazy. When I first looked at the pic I was like *** why is a light pole there? Before I noticed it wasn't on the ground. That is pretty scary.....

Alberta does not have front licence plates and I didn't see a picture of the back of the truck.

Thats exactly what came into my mind. In one of the pictures the light looks to be leaning toward the right pretty heavily, in the other ones it looks either pretty straight or leaning toward the left.

I received this as an Email from my brother and thought the incident was recent. From looking at the March 2008 expiry date on the Alberta license I would say it was probably early March 2008 that this happened. Have a look at this link for ALL the pictures and the plate number. It is no joke and no photoshop unless a local bodyshop invested time and money to do this. I guess people hit poles all the time but they do not usually retain the lamp pole. Some "jokesters" could have re-installed the pole for some fun back at the tow yard? When you look at the hood damage, the radiator could be okay?

The driver must be an interesting "layed back" character in order drive to a pub for a few brew after this wake-up jolt.

I decided to Google "tough Dodge Vernon" to see how well known this accident was and found several sites, including the above.
One guy says "I've been to Vernon,BC,and they do roll up the sidewalks at night,I had no idea they took the traffic lights home each night as well... "

Okay, after looking at the pictures more carefully my view is that the pictures are real but the vehicle was towed from the accident scene without the pub story. There is a little pile of gravel under the lamp base that shows the tow truck carefully lowered the front end. The driver would have been ploughing the ashpalt and gravel driving to the pub. I think the "drove to pub" part of the story might be an embellishment? Look at this part of the picture carefully:
