so my blinkers quit working. At first left was right and right was left, now only right, when i signal left, I assume TIPM. I have had it flashed 1 time before. I assume the next step is to flash again?

where is it located incase I decide to swap it out with a used one? Also is there a how to write up?

Good luck Magdog. What a mistake made by those idiot engineers. Anyway it's part of the black fuse box. You have to take the box off to get to it. It's silver about 4" x 4". Easy to get off, expensive to replace. See if you can find a used one at a junk yard. Be careful though it has to be the same options as your truck

maddog,

It is not you TIPM it is the multi function switch (turn signal, wipers, high beams) that is the problem. This is a known problem that Dodge is aware of and will be fixed under a new warranty of 100,000 mile and no time frame. I received a letter from Dodge on this and threw it in the glove box for when mine goes whacky.

Any way you can email a copy of that letter? I never got one but would love to have it for the same reason as you!

The correct warranty period is 10 years or 150,000 miles. I will try to send a copy here:

Its the same multi-function switch, used in all Dodge trucks, contact Dodge and have them tell your dealer to cover it. It was actually a safety issue, duly noted by the fed DOT and ordered accordingly. I suppose since it was a group of 3500 owners that filed the complaint with the feds, thats why they are only covering the 3500's. I got my letter some time ago.
